A paywall is where your app earns or loses money, and it is also one of the most rejected parts of an app.
I set up purchases so they work on the first review and keep working: the right products in each store, a clear paywall, restore purchases, and entitlement checks so a paying user never sees a locked feature.
What I set up
Products in both stores. Subscription groups, durations, prices, introductory offers and free trials in App Store Connect, and the matching products and base plans in Google Play Console.
The paywall. Clear price, renewal terms, trial length and a restore button. Apple and Google both expect these, and users trust them too.
Purchase logic in the app. Buying, restoring, upgrading and expiry, tested in sandbox so you see exactly what a real user will see.
Paywall testing. With a paywall tool such as Superwall, you can try different designs and offers without shipping a new build. I use this approach on MacroScout.
