MacroScout is my own app, so it is where I do every part of the job myself: product, build, store publishing, subscriptions and growth.
The problem
Calorie trackers work at home and fall apart at restaurants. People eating out have no labels to scan and no idea which dish fits the calories and protein they have left.
What I built
- Menu scan: photograph a restaurant menu and see which dishes fit what is left for the day.
- Plate photo, voice and text logging powered by AI, plus barcode scanning and manual entry.
- Free and Pro tiers with in-app subscriptions and paywalls managed with Superwall, so offers can change without a new release.
- Published on both stores, with the listings, privacy forms and review handled end to end.
Growth
MacroScout has its own content site, health.dailyappslab.com, with calorie guides built from keyword research, plus social channels.
