Most apps are not invisible because they are bad. They are invisible because their listing is written for the founder, not for the person searching.
App Store Optimization fixes that. It is the work of choosing the words people search for, putting them in the places the stores actually read, and making the screenshots good enough that a visitor taps Get.
What I do
Keyword research. I look at what people type in your category and markets, how crowded each term is, and which ones match what your app really does. A smaller keyword you can win beats a huge one you never will.
Listing copy. Title, subtitle, keyword field and description on iOS. Title, short description and full description on Google Play. Each store reads different fields, so each gets its own version.
Screenshots. Most visitors decide from the first two screenshots. I plan a short story: the problem, your app solving it, and the one feature that makes you different.
Follow-up. After the update goes live, we check impressions, product page views and conversion rate in App Store Connect and Play Console, then adjust.
Who this is for
- Apps with good reviews from current users but few new installs
- New apps getting ready for launch
- Apps that moved to a new market or language
I publish and maintain my own app, MacroScout, on both stores, so I work inside these consoles every week.
